Completely open to its outdoor environment, the Grand Parc de l'Embanie offers a very pleasant walking area with large spaces, remarkable trees, playgrounds and a space dedicated to sports, the Moulin and Frocourt streams, pony grazing and even the family gardens at the entrance. A discovery trail of the Grand Parc starting from the events area allows you to appreciate 13 specimens identified by a fact sheet. The remarkable alignment of pollard willows which line the Frocourt and Moulin streams is worthy of interest due to the number of its specimens in the urban sector. They also constitute a natural reservoir of biodiversity. The majestic shape of the three-hundred-year-old oaks is visible from the path of the large quarry or the Banal woods to get up close. A bench at each stage allows walks at all ages, with the possibility of resting and admiring the surrounding fauna and flora. Another point of interest in the park is the Embanie pond, an artificial body of water measuring 3000 m2 and 2 meters deep, created at the end of 1970. It is fed by the Moulin stream. The banks of the pond are covered with varied vegetation where rare species (bald cypress), shimmering shrubs and lush grasses blend harmoniously. This site is home to numerous plant and animal species, characteristic of the regional natural heritage. It offers varied landscapes throughout the seasons. The Embanie Park is also a place of life and entertainment for families with regular events such as Saveurs Nature, the Easter egg hunt or the Saint-Jean fires.
