Saint Hubert Chapel
to heckling

In 878, the chapel of Heckling was under the patronage of Saint Peter and, like the village and some of its lands, belonged to the cathedral of Sens. An exchange dating from 1179 attached Heckling to the abbey of Bouzonville, which still belonged to the parish of Vaudreching, and this remained the case until 1802. The chapel of Heckling is dedicated to Saint Hubert.
