The Villa Majorelle

Nancy jewel

In 1898, Louis Majorelle asked the architect Henri Sauvage to design his personal residence in Nancy. Iconic Art Nouveau house and owned by the City of Nancy, the Villa Majorelle reopened its doors after several months of restoration in February 2020. Between the meticulous restoration of the original decor and the furnishing of period furniture, in particular the reception rooms and the bedroom, immerse yourself in the artist's family intimacy.

As if you were there

Nature is everywhere at the Villa Majorelle. From the vestibule, it is reflected in the mirror facing the glass entrance door. Then the ivy winds along the banister of Louis Majorelle's majestic staircase; the stained glass windows with gourd motifs by Jacques Gruber give a cozy atmosphere to the dining room; the bedroom has returned to its original place, with a unique example made by Majorelle for himself, which was kept in the Nancy School Museum since its acquisition in the 80s.
