Opposite the train station, this vast contemporary art and design gallery occupies an iconic Nancy building dating from the late 19th century. On the façade and forecourt, noteworthy is the permanent artwork, "Traits d'union" (Connecting Lines), by designer Robert Stadler, which creates a dialogue between contemporary art, design, and heritage. The Poirel Gallery resolutely focuses its programming on contemporary art with a strong design emphasis. The gallery is open only during exhibitions, from Wednesday to Saturday and the first Sunday of the month, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed December 25, January 1, May 1, July 14, and November 1.
