Located on the ground floor of the building called "Maison des Arcades or Palais Royal", rue Stanislas, the gate of the source of the Crucifix is ​​classified as a historical monument. Made by André Gillot, a student of Jean Lamour, who also created the gates of the Place Stanislas in Nancy, it protects the fountain formerly used to supply the bath of the "oak", now disappeared. Used for drinking from 1614, the fountain is no longer supplied today. Every year, during the Ascension, a ceremony called "the blessing of the baths" brings together the inhabitants: the priest goes from the church to the Fountain of the Crucifix, then the Place du Bain Romain, to bless these beneficial waters.
