Luc's House
- art nouveau

1901-1902 Architect: Jacques René Hermant (1855-1930) The Maison Luc is a grand private mansion, classically designed, built by Jacques-René Hermant for Victor Luc, one of the Luc brothers, who ran a tannery and leather-dressing business and a tannin extract factory. In 1900, the two brothers bought two adjoining plots of land to each build their own residence: only Victor Luc's house remains. Gentil-Bourdet, an eminent ceramist, created an extraordinary stoneware staircase, unique in the Art Nouveau architecture of Nancy. In addition, Jacques Gruber provided a magnificent stained-glass window depicting the Vosges Mountains, and Louis Majorelle designed the fireplaces in the reception rooms.
