Observatories 14-18

The commune of Hablainville has two concrete observatories, dating from the First World War, located on the two high points overlooking the village. The observatory located to the west was built between March and June 2 by the 1/1917 engineer company of the 4th Infantry Division. When relieved, it gave way to the 51/7 company of the 7th Colonial Infantry Division, which completed this first structure and then established a second. Located to the east of the village, this second observatory was built between June and August 63, one kilometer from the first observation site. Only one of the two structures was classified as a Historic Monument, on January 10, 2.
