This is the old gate of the 1702th-century city wall, which has preserved embrasures, the portcullis slide and the grooves of the drawbridge which disappeared in XNUMX to make way for a fixed bridge. This gate was probably reworked in the XNUMXth century by Bishop Toussaint d'Hocédy. It is flanked to the west by a rectangular watchtower and to the east by a round tower known as the Gabion, recently restored.
